Introducing Impact improved the number and quality of CERTEGO safety observations
CERTEGO is a leading company in Scandinavia offering locking and security solutions. It has nearly twenty offices in Finland. Impact was introduced in them in 2017. CERTEGO ended up with Impact because the company wanted to improve the reporting of safety observations, deviations and occupational accidents, and to manage safety in a single solution.
– We chose Impact based on its ease of use, editability and versatile analytics tools. Impact also has a smart licensing model, says Pasi Jaatinen (Business Development Manager) from CERTEGO.
With the introduction of Impact, the number and quality of various safety observations made at CERTEGO have significantly increased and the company’s HSE indicators have been restored. A sensible licensing model ensures that all employees in the company can always report their findings.
CERTEGO is satisfied with Impact’s ease of use
Impact was easily introduced at CERTEGO. Intensive training and short instruction videos provided by the Impact team for the administrator were sufficient to deploy the features. CERTEGO then modified Impact’s ready-made tools for its own use, and finally the personnel were informed of the transition to Impact.
– Impact is so intuitive to use that in addition to the basic operating instructions, there’s no need to provide separate instructions for filling in observation forms. It’s enough that the employee scans the QR code on their phone and fills in the notification form that appears on the screen. It feels like it can’t be any simpler, says Jaatinen.
Co-operation with the Impact team has been good since the beginning, and joint meetings have been held regularly. Jaatinen is satisfied with how the Impact team takes care of its customers by regularly asking about the use of Impact and any hopes and development ideas. He is particularly pleased with the way in which the customer can implement the new features of the solution.
– Whenever Impact has new features, it’s communicated. At the same time, you can watch a video of a few minutes to see how the new feature works. I’ll give it five stars! The videos are really good, and you learn a lot from them, Jaatinen says.

CERTEGO uses Impact diversely to manage safety
CERTEGO started using Impact by reporting safety observations and occupational accidents. Over the years, the use has expanded to include the observation of quality deviations, the reporting of development ideas, the reporting of internal audits and specific audits such as fieldwork audits.
It is thanks to Impact that all observations made by staff now meet CERTEGO’s quality criteria and are in a reportable format immediately. Sometimes CERTEGO has used Impact’s built-in tools and other times created them.
– For us, the editability of the Impact solution has been a very important feature. Impact’s control panel is easy to use and its tools are versatile, there are features that aren’t easily available. In addition, Impact is in practice the master of information, as all the information collected can be found in the Impact documentation section, says Jaatinen.
